Ingredients

The smoothie

  • 1 large frozen banana (ripe, peeled, sliced)
  • ¼ – ½ medium ripe avocado
  • 1 scoop plain or vanilla protein powder
  • 1 large handful greens of choice (spinach, kale, rainbow chard)
  • ¾ – 1 cup unsweetened plain almond milk (or any dairy-free milk)

Optional add-ins

  • 1 Tbsp seed of choice (hemp, flax, sesame, sunflower, chia, etc.)
  • ½ tsp adaptogen of choice (maca, ashwagandha, etc.)
  • ½ cup sliced frozen (or fresh) cucumber or berries

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen banana, avocado, protein powder, greens, and dairy-free milk to a high-speed blender.
  2. If desired, add any optional add-ins such as seeds or additional fruits and vegetables.
  3. Blend on high until the mixture is creamy and smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Adjust the thickness by adding more dairy-free milk if too thick, or more frozen banana or avocado if too thin.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or creaminess as desired.
  6. Divide the smoothie between serving glasses and enjoy immediately.
