Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375ºF and prepare a 9×13-inch casserole dish with nonstick spray.
- In a skillet, partially brown the Italian sausage for 3-4 minutes and transfer it to the casserole dish.
- In the same skillet, add olive oil and both types of potatoes along with garlic powder and salt, cooking for 3-5 minutes, then transfer to the casserole dish.
- Caramelize the onion in the skillet with more olive oil for 7-10 minutes, then add to the casserole dish.
- Add the minced apples, fresh herbs, remaining garlic powder and salt, pepper, and bread cubes to the casserole dish and mix well.
- Combine beef broth and Worcestershire sauce in a measuring cup, pour over the stuffing mixture, and mix again.
- Top with butter pads and bake uncovered for 35-45 minutes until golden brown.
