Ingredients

The beef

  • pounds flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

The sauce

  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • ½ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup water

The garnish

  • ½ cup green onions, cut into ½ inch pieces

Instructions

  1. Toss the flank steak with cornstarch in a bowl until evenly coated.
  2. Add the coated flank steak to the slow cooker.
  3. Combine sesame oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, and water in the slow cooker and stir to coat the meat.
  4. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours or LOW for 4-5 hours.
  5. Stir in the green onions before serving.
