Ingredients

The beef

  • lb Flank steak

The sauce

  • 2 tbsp Unflavored gelatin powder
  • ¼ cup Coconut aminos
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • ¼ cup Besti Powdered Monk Fruit Allulose Blend (or honey)
  • 1 tbsp Blackstrap molasses (or ½ tsp pure maple extract)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • ¾ tsp Sea salt
  • ½ tsp Ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain.
  2. Toss the steak with gelatin powder until evenly coated.
  3. Place the steak into the slow cooker.
  4. Whisk together the coconut aminos, minced garlic, sweetener, molasses, sesame oil, ground ginger, salt, and pepper, then pour over the steak and stir to coat.
  5. Cover and cook on Low for 4-6 hours or on High for 2-3 hours until the steak is tender.
  6. Optionally, remove the meat and simmer the sauce in a saucepan to thicken before serving.
