Ingredients

The pasta and sauce

  • 1 lb jumbo shells
  • Homemade Ragu Sauce sauce

The filling

  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • optional pesto or fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the homemade Ragu sauce.
  2. Boil water, salt it, and cook the jumbo pasta shells until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, parmesan, garlic powder, basil, parsley, and oregano, then transfer to a ziplock bag.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  5. Spread half of the Ragu sauce in a baking dish.
  6. Pipe the cheese mixture into each shell and place them in the baking dish.
  7. Cover the shells with the remaining sauce and sprinkle mozzarella on top.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  9. Garnish with pesto or fresh basil before serving.
