Ingredients

  • 1 lb scallops
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon lemon peel, grated
  • to taste salt
  • to taste ground black pepper
  • to taste parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the scallops with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
  3. As the butter melts, it will turn brown and begin to foam.
  4. Place the scallops in the hot skillet and sear on both sides until cooked through.
  5. Add the lemon peel and parsley, then serve immediately.
