Konnyaku Steak with Shishito Peppers

The peppers
Instructions
- Cut the konjac bar into thin fillets and score the surface.
- Cut the fillets into strips and sprinkle salt over them, rubbing it in for 5 minutes.
- Boil water in a saucepan and cook the konjac for a few minutes, then drain.
- Wash the shishito peppers and make small cuts to prevent bursting.
- Combine soy sauce, mirin, and sugar in a bowl and set aside.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a frying pan, then add garlic until fragrant.
- Add the konjac and shishito peppers to the pan and fry for a few minutes.
- Add the sauce mixture to the pan and stir to coat everything.
- Remove the shishito peppers once they change color, and continue cooking the konjac until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the konjac steak with the shishito peppers.
