The steak

The marinade

ponzu

white miso

unsalted butter, melted

Japanese cooking sake

The salad

fresh herb salad

ponzu
Instructions
- Mix the marinade ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and then let it cool.
- Marinate the steak in a plastic bag with half of the glaze for 1 hour.
- Preheat the grill and scrape off excess marinade before grilling.
- Grill each side of the steak for about 3-4 minutes, adjusting for desired doneness.
- Brush some glaze on the steak and let it set on the grill for an additional minute on each side.
- Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Toss the fresh herb salad with ponzu dressing.
- Serve the steak on a plate with glaze and salad.
