Instructions
- Soak lentils in hot water until ready to use.
- Sauté shallots in olive oil until tender and caramelized, then remove half for topping.
- Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, then add spices, salt, lemon zest, and water.
- Drain lentils and add to the pot with rinsed rice, stir well.
- Cover and cook on high pressure for 11 minutes, then let naturally release for 10 minutes.
- Fluff the Mujadara with a fork and serve with desired garnishes.
