Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Grind the sliced almonds in a food processor until finely chopped and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, then set aside.
- In an electric mixer, cream together the butter and ½ cup of powdered sugar until blended.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour and salt mixture on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips and ground almonds until evenly distributed.
- Scoop out 1 tablespoon of dough, roll it into a ball, and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the bottoms are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool for a few minutes, then roll them in the remaining powdered sugar.
- Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely and roll in powdered sugar again for a thicker coating.
