Ingredients

The pizza base

  • 1 batch easy whole wheat pizza dough or store-bought pizza dough

The toppings

  • cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup crumbled feta
  • ½ pound broccolini
  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds

Optional garnishes

  • to taste red pepper flakes
  • to taste fresh basil leaves, torn

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 500°F and prepare the baking stone if using.
  2. Spread the sauce over the pizza bases and top with mozzarella, feta, and almonds.
  3. Blanch the broccolini in boiling water for 1 minute, then drain and coat with olive oil.
  4. Arrange the broccolini on the pizzas and sprinkle with almonds.
  5. Bake the pizzas until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly, about 12 minutes.
  6. Slice the pizzas and add optional garnishes before serving.
