Instructions
- Mix almond flour, coconut flour, and baking powder in a bowl.
- Whisk the egg whites into soft peaks, then add 1 tablespoon of sugar and whisk until firm, smooth, and shiny.
- Combine the melted butter with the remaining sugar and add to the flour mixture.
- Mix the ingredients together gently with a spatula and stir in the almond extract.
- Pour the batter into a 22 cm round mold and sprinkle with flaked almonds and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the cake for 50 minutes.
- Let the cake stand for 5 minutes before unmolding.
