Almond Flour Cake

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease an 8-inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar until thick and creamy, then mix in the almond flour and lemon zest.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the batter.
- Transfer the batter to the greased cake pan and sprinkle sliced almonds on top if using.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until the top is golden and firm.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 20 minutes before inverting it onto a plate and dusting with powdered sugar.
