Ingredients

The base

  • 2 cups fine almond flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ cup almond butter
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 ½ tbsp almond milk
  • ½ cup dairy-free chocolate chips

The frosting

  • ½ cup liquid ghee
  • cup maple syrup
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 ½ tbsp coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp coconut flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together.
  3. In another bowl, melt the coconut oil and almond butter, then mix in the wet ingredients.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and pour the mixture into the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30 to 32 minutes, then let rest for 20 minutes and refrigerate.
  6. To make the frosting, beat the ghee and then mix in the remaining frosting ingredients until fluffy.
  7. Spread the frosting over the cooled bars and refrigerate for another 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
