Slow Cooker Crockpot Pinto Beans with Smoked Turkey

Instructions
- Soak the beans in boiling water for 1 hour, then drain, or soak them overnight.
- Add all ingredients to the slow cooker.
- Cook on High for 4-6 hours or Low for 7-10 hours until the beans are tender.
- Remove the bay leaf and smoked turkey, shred the turkey if desired, and return it to the pot.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper before serving.
