Slow Cooker Pinto Beans and Ham

Pinto Beans (dry or soaked overnight)

Water (6 cups for soaked beans)

Instructions
- Rinse the meaty ham bone.
- Add all ingredients except for the salt to the slow cooker and stir.
- Cook on High for 7-8 hours (or Low for soaked beans). Stir halfway through and add water if needed.
- Remove the ham bone and bay leaf and discard them.
- Taste and add salt if necessary.
- Serve with bread if desired.
