Korean BBQ Beef (Bulgogi)

The marinade

Instructions
- Slice the steak against the grain into the thinnest strips possible, optionally placing it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to firm it up.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, black pepper, sesame seeds, green onions, white onion, garlic, and ginger, and whisk together.
- Add the sliced steak to the marinade, coat well, and let it marinate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- When ready to cook, heat a wok or large non-stick skillet to medium-high heat until sizzling.
- Use tongs to transfer the marinated meat to the pan, tossing often until cooked through, cooking in batches if necessary.
- Serve hot over rice with a vegetable side.
