Ingredients

The skewers

  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 1 medium ripe peach
  • 8 ounces ciliegine (mini mozzarella balls)
  • 1 small bunch basil
  • 22 small (4 to 6-inch) skewers

The balsamic dipping sauce

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey
  • 1 pinch salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Thread one cherry tomato, one ciliegine, one to two basil leaves, and a slice of peach (or an additional tomato) onto each skewer in an alternating pattern.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together all the balsamic dipping sauce ingredients until emulsified.
  3. Serve the skewers on plates or a platter with the dipping sauce nearby.
