The filling
Instructions
- 1. Beat the butter, sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla until smooth.
- 2. Gradually add flour and baking powder, then cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- 3. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 4. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the sheets, making indentations with your thumb.
- 5. Bake for 11 to 14 minutes until golden brown, rotating sheets halfway through.
- 6. Transfer cookies to cooling racks and fill each indentation with jam.
