Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugar together until smooth, then mix in the egg yolks and heavy cream.
- Add the salt, nutmeg, and grated chocolate, mixing thoroughly.
- Gradually incorporate the flour until fully mixed, then set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the batter.
- Grease a 10-inch bundt cake pan and pour in the batter.
- Bake for 45 minutes at 350°F.
- For the chocolate sauce, warm the cream over low heat, then add the chocolate and stir until melted.
- Mix in the buttermilk and remove from heat, then whisk in the egg white.
- Drape the chocolate sauce over the cooled cake and serve.
