Ingredients

The base

  • 4 cups puffed rice cereal
  • 1 cup creamy almond butter
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch sea salt (optional)
  • 1 chocolate bar of choice (melted)

Optional ingredient

  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins collagen peptides

Instructions

  1. Line a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper, greasing the pan to make it stick.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine almond butter, coconut oil, cacao, cinnamon, salt, and maple syrup until blended.
  3. In a large bowl, add the puffed rice cereal and pour the almond butter mixture over it, mixing well to coat.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan and refrigerate for 30-45 minutes.
  5. Melt the chocolate bar in the microwave in 30-second intervals.
  6. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the treats and refrigerate for another 10-15 minutes before slicing into 16 squares.
  7. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
