Date Night Mushroom Fettuccine

The sauce

The pasta

fettuccine

Parmesan cheese

reserved pasta water
Instructions
- Clean the mushrooms and sauté them with garlic and 2 tablespoons of butter until soft and brown.
- Add the cream and remaining butter to the skillet and simmer over low heat.
- Cook the fettuccine according to package directions, drain, and return to the pot.
- Combine the mushroom sauce with the hot fettuccine, tossing to mix.
- Add Parmesan and reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency, then season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, topped with parsley and additional pepper.
