Cheesy Mushroom-Thyme Fettuccine

Instructions
- Boil 3 quarts of water in a large pot.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil, garlic, half of the thyme, and pepper flakes over medium heat until the garlic is golden brown.
- Add sliced mushrooms, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and cook until the mushrooms are browned.
- Remove from heat and add brandy, then return to heat and cook until the liquid is syrupy.
