Bacon and Caramelized Pineapple Pizza

Ingredients

The pizza

  • 1 large pizza dough
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 4 oz. shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
  • 2 pieces green onions

The toppings

  • 3 oz. bacon
  • 8 oz. canned pineapple chunks in juice
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Slice the bacon into one-inch pieces and cook in a skillet until crisp.
  2. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate and drain excess grease.
  3. Drain and cut the pineapple chunks in half, then sauté with brown sugar until caramelized.
  4. Preheat the oven to 450ºF.
  5. Stretch the pizza dough to fit a 14-inch pizza pan and spread the sauce over it.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the sauce, then add the cooked bacon and caramelized pineapple.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Top with sliced green onions, cut into eight pieces, and serve.
