Instructions
- Whisk 1 cup of milk into the cornstarch until smooth and let it sit for 20 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a saucepan, add the remaining milk and sugar, and heat on medium-low while stirring until thick and smooth (about 7-10 minutes).
- Remove from heat, stir in almond and vanilla extracts, cover with plastic wrap, and let it cool to room temperature.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and press wonton wrappers into a mini baking cup pan to form cups.
- Bake the cups for 10-15 minutes until golden brown, then let them cool.
- Once the milk mixture is cool, whisk in the ricotta and optional cinnamon until smooth.
- Pipe or scoop the filling into the baked wonton cups, sprinkle with mini chocolate chips, and dust with powdered sugar.
- Refrigerate or serve immediately.
