Sticky Asian Chicken Wings

Ingredients

The chicken wings

  • 1 lb chicken wingettes and drumettes
  • to taste salt
  • to taste ground black pepper
  • as needed cooking spray

The glaze

  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ inch ginger, peeled and minced
  • tablespoons honey
  • tablespoons soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon garlic chili sauce
  • ½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cilantro leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1. Clean and rinse the chicken wings, then pat them dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. Arrange the wings on a baking sheet lined with foil and lightly coated with cooking spray.
  3. 3. Broil the wings for 12-15 minutes on one side until browned, then turn and broil for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  4. 4. In a saucepan, combine garlic, ginger, honey, soy sauce, garlic chili sauce, and vinegar, and simmer until thickened.
  5. 5. Toss the wings in the sauce until well coated, then transfer to a serving platter and top with cilantro.
