Ingredients

The chicken wings

  • 2 lbs. chicken wings or drummettes
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil

The sauce

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 green onions sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF and place the chicken wings in a baking dish in a single layer.
  2. Drizzle cooking oil over the wings and toss to coat, then bake for 15 minutes.
  3. While the wings bake, prepare the sauce by combining honey, soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, toasted sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a bowl.
  4. After 15 minutes, pour the sauce over the wings and toss to coat.
  5. Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes until the sauce reduces and becomes sticky.
  6. Top with sliced green onions and serve.
