Ingredients

Marinade

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • to taste freshly cracked pepper
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil

Chicken

  • 8 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • ½ Tbsp cooking oil

Garnishes (optional)

  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.
  2. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, pepper, and cooking oil.
  3. Place chicken thighs in a dish or bag and pour the marinade over them, then marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium flame and add cooking oil.
  5. Cook half the chicken until browned and cooked through, then remove and repeat with the second batch.
  6. Pour the leftover marinade into the skillet, boil, and reduce to a thick glaze.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the glaze, then garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
