Ingredients

The chicken

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
  • pinch red pepper flakes

The sauce

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prep your rice and ingredients.
  2. Make a cornstarch slurry with soy sauce.
  3. Prep the chicken by cutting it into chunks and coating it with flour and salt.
  4. Brown the chicken in a skillet with oil for about 3 minutes.
  5. Add garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes to the skillet.
  6. Combine the soy sauce mixture with honey and vinegar, then add to the skillet.
  7. Simmer until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
  8. Serve over rice and enjoy.
