Ingredients

The base

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¾ to 1 pound ground beef
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt

The sauce

  • 1 jar marinara sauce (25.25 ounces)

The pasta

  • 8 ounces dried short pasta (such as Campanelle or rotini)

For serving

  • to taste freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano
  • to taste freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onion in olive oil with a pinch of salt until softened.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Brown the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks.
  4. Add marinara sauce, water, and pasta to the pot and stir.
  5. Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 6 minutes.
  6. Quick release the pressure, then stir the mixture.
  7. Serve immediately topped with Parmesan and black pepper.
