Instructions
- Remove the skin and excess fat from the pork shoulder.
- Score the meat to help the rub penetrate.
- Coat the pork with olive oil and apply the BBQ rub evenly.
- Smoke the pork at 265°F until it reaches an internal temperature of 150°F.
- Wrap the pork in butcher paper with coconut water and butter, then add orange slices.
- Continue smoking until the internal temperature reaches 203°F.
- Caramelize onions in butter while the pork is smoking.
- Once done, pull the pork and chop it for sliders.
- Prepare sliders by layering pork, mustard BBQ sauce, provolone cheese, caramelized onions, and pickles on Hawaiian buns.
- Butter the buns, sprinkle with seasoning, and bake until the cheese melts.
