The chicken and marinade

The coating

baking powder

For frying
Instructions
- Combine chicken chunks, dill pickle juice, and buttermilk in a large zip-lock bag and seal it.
- Massage the marinade into the chicken and refrigerate for 60-90 minutes.
- Heat 1 ½ to 2 inches of oil in a skillet or Dutch oven to 350-365°F.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drain, and discard the marinade.
- Coat chicken pieces with the flour mixture thoroughly.
- Carefully add the coated chicken to the hot oil in batches, frying for 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove nuggets from oil and drain on a wire rack or paper towels.
- Serve with your choice of dipping sauces.
