Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets

The Chick-Fil-A Sauce

barbecue sauce

Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the sauce ingredients and chill in the refrigerator.
- In a large bowl, combine chicken pieces, pickle juice, and ½ cup milk. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- After marinating, drain the chicken well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the remaining milk and egg to create an egg wash.
- Add the marinated chicken to the egg wash and stir to combine, then drain excess mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- In a gallon-sized bag, combine flour, confectioners' sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken to the bag, seal, and shake to coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the chicken nuggets in a single layer.
- Lightly spray the nuggets with cooking spray and cook for 7 to 8 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Transfer cooked nuggets to a container and repeat until all are cooked.
- Serve warm with the prepared sauce.
