Easy Tomato Soup

Instructions
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat and cook onions until softened.
- Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until golden and aromatic.
- Add canned tomatoes and broth/water; bring to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes.
- Blend the soup until smooth using an immersion or countertop blender.
- Stir in heavy cream and adjust thickness with more broth or water if needed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
