Ingredients

The smoothie base

  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • ½ large banana, cut into chunks and frozen
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter or nut butter of choice
  • ½ to 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
  • ½ to 1 tablespoon honey or pure maple syrup (optional)

The toppings

  • as desired fresh banana slices
  • as desired fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, sliced strawberries)
  • 2 tablespoons granola
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds
  • as desired almond butter or peanut butter drizzle

Instructions

  1. Place the smoothie bowl ingredients in a high-powered blender in the order listed.
  2. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  4. Scrape into a serving bowl and add your desired toppings.
  5. Enjoy immediately.
