Ingredients

The dough

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk, warmed to 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups gluten free flour
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

The filling

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

The cream cheese frosting

  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • cup unsalted butter, softened
  • cups confectioners sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by whisking together sugar, warmed milk, and yeast in a large bowl, then set aside until foamy.
  2. Add eggs and melted butter to the yeast mixture and beat until smooth, then gradually fold in the flour.
  3. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until creamy.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the filling over it, and roll it into a log.
  6. Cut the log into 8 pieces and arrange them in a greased baking dish, brushing the tops with heavy cream.
  7. Let the rolls rest for 15 minutes, then preheat the oven to 375°F.
  8. Bake the rolls for 35-40 minutes until golden brown, then let them cool before frosting.
