Instructions
- Cream together the butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth.
- Mix in the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt until just combined.
- Cover the dough and chill for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours, until firm.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal balls, roll them in sprinkles, and place them on the baking sheet with space between each.
- Gently flatten each ball to about ¾ inch thick.
- Bake for 11 to 14 minutes until the cookies are set.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet.
