Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and prepare baking sheets.
- Whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy, then add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the dry ingredients and chocolate chips until combined.
- Divide the dough into 6 portions, shaping each into a mound and slightly flattening the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are lightly browned and centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
