Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, egg, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Stir in the flour and chocolate chips until no dry streaks remain.
- Press the dough into a 9-inch circle on the prepared baking sheet.
- Optionally, sprinkle more chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 13-16 minutes until the edges are set and the top is slightly crackly.
- Allow the cookie to cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring.
