Instructions
- Sift together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar using a mixer.
- Add the egg and mix until fully combined.
- Incorporate the vanilla and maple syrup, then mix again.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients until fully combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Form the dough into 2 tbsp portions and chill in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Bake the chilled dough balls for 10-12 minutes, avoiding overbaking.
- Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
