Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and melt half of the butter in a stainless steel bowl in the oven.
- Turn off the oven and let the butter cool to room temperature.
- Mix the cooled butter with sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla until well combined.
- Add the eggs and beat on high speed for 1 minute.
- Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined, then stir in the chocolate chips.
- Refrigerate the dough for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Roll the chilled dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-12 minutes until puffy and slightly brown on top.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
