Ingredients

  • 15 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 bag Hershey’s semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and melt half of the butter in a stainless steel bowl in the oven.
  2. Turn off the oven and let the butter cool to room temperature.
  3. Mix the cooled butter with sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs and beat on high speed for 1 minute.
  5. Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined, then stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Refrigerate the dough for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  8. Roll the chilled dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 8-12 minutes until puffy and slightly brown on top.
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
