Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and melt half of the butter in a bowl until soft.
- 2. Let the melted butter cool to room temperature.
- 3. Cream together the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.
- 4. Beat in the egg until fully incorporated.
- 5. Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
- 6. Stir in chocolate chips with a wooden spoon.
- 7. Roll ¼ cup of dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
- 8. Bake for about 9 minutes until puffy and slightly browned.
- 9. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes before serving.
