Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2. Melt the butter in the microwave for about 40 seconds until almost entirely liquid.
- 3. Beat the melted butter with the sugars until creamy.
- 4. Add the vanilla and egg, mixing on low speed until just incorporated.
- 5. Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until crumbles form.
- 6. Press the crumbles together into a dough and incorporate the chocolate chips.
- 7. Roll the dough into 12 large balls and place them on a cookie sheet.
- 8. Bake for 9-11 minutes until the cookies look puffy and just barely golden.
- 9. Let them cool on the pan for about 30 minutes before serving.
