The marinade

Instructions
- Allow the rack of lamb to come to room temperature.
- Season the rack evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Combine rosemary, thyme, and 1 tbsp of olive oil in a small bowl and mix.
- Coat the lamb with the marinade on both sides.
- Heat an oven-safe skillet to medium heat and add 2 tbsp of olive oil and butter.
- Sear the rack of lamb fat side down for 5 minutes, rocking it to brown all sides.
- Bake the lamb at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes, checking for desired doneness.
- Let the lamb rest for 5-10 minutes before serving by cutting between the bones.
