Peach Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle white or rosé wine
  • 3 ripe peaches peaches
  • ¼ cup Elderflower liquor
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • handful fresh herbs (mint, basil, lemon balm, lemon verbena, or lemon thyme)

Instructions

  1. Make the simple syrup by simmering sugar, water, and a handful of fresh herbs until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool.
  2. Slice the peaches.
  3. In a pitcher or large mason jar, combine the peaches, wine, herbed simple syrup, and a splash of Elderflower liquor.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. If serving to guests, strain out any browning peaches and replace them with fresh sliced peaches and herbs before serving over ice.
