Ingredients

The filling

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 10 oz cooked boneless, skinless chicken breast, shredded
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

The dough

  • 1 can Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust dough (13.8 oz)

The topping

  • 2 oz shredded 2% milk Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté the sliced onion until softened.
  3. Add shredded chicken, salt, pepper, and barbecue sauce to the skillet and mix well, heating through.
  4. Unroll the pizza dough and roll it out to 10”x14”.
  5. Make cuts along the longer sides of the dough to create strips.
  6. Spread the barbecue chicken mixture down the center of the dough and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Fold the strips of dough over the filling in a criss-cross pattern to form a braid.
  8. Beat the egg with water to create an egg wash and brush it over the braid.
  9. Transfer the braid to a baking sheet and bake for 20-24 minutes until golden.
  10. Slice into 12 pieces and serve.
