Ingredients

The crust

  • 9 pieces graham crackers
  • 5 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

The filling

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • cup milk
  • 1 container (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • to taste none chocolate syrup, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Finely crush the graham crackers using a food processor or rolling pin.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 9-inch pie plate and press it evenly into the bottom and sides.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown, then cool completely for at least 1 hour.
  6. In a large bowl, combine sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  7. Add cocoa powder and milk in alternating batches until fully incorporated.
  8. Gently fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
  9. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and smooth the top.
  10. Freeze for at least 4 hours before serving, thaw for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
