Baked Vegetable Pasta
Ingredients
The pasta

whole wheat penne pasta

homemade vegetable pasta sauce or your favorite sauce
The cheese

shredded mozzarella cheese

shredded parmesan cheese
The garnish

chopped fresh basil
Instructions
- 1. Boil water in a large pot and add salt.
- 2. Cook the penne pasta for about 7 minutes until al dente.
- 3. Mix the cooked pasta with your chosen sauce in the pot.
- 4. Layer half of the pasta mixture in a casserole dish and sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
- 5. Add the remaining pasta and sauce, then top with the remaining cheese.
- 6. Sprinkle with fresh basil.
- 7. Bake in the oven at 400°F for about 20 minutes, or until bubbling.
- 8. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
