Blueberry Butter Cake

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease the baking pan with butter.
- Mix the flour and baking powder, then sieve and add salt.
- Beat the butter and sugar until pale yellow.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in vanilla essence.
- Fold in the flour mixture and then add the milk.
- Pour the batter into the greased pan and smooth the top.
- Add blueberries on top in a single layer.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
