Homemade Stovetop Stuffing

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Cut the bread into ½-inch cubes and toast in the oven for 10-12 minutes until lightly toasted.
- While the bread is toasting, heat the broth until very warm.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat and add the onions, celery, garlic, and salt; cook until tender.
- Stir in the poultry seasoning, thyme, and sage, and cook for another minute.
- Add the toasted bread cubes and mix well to coat with the butter and vegetable mixture.
- Gradually add the warmed broth and stir to moisten the bread evenly.
- Cover the pot and let the stuffing sit for about 10 minutes before serving.
